Subs getting quieter

So I've been stationed overseas for a few years and just got back home stateside a couple of weeks ago. I was driving my blazer and my subs would get quiet and then a little later they would get loud again. I mean sometimes its hard to notice, but other times it is like very noticable. I checked my amp wiring, speaker wiring, checked all sorts of stuff and can't find anything that would be causing this problem. I have 2 12" JL W3's and a 800 watt Pioneer amp, does anyone no what it could be?

Check your voltage

if they are dual coils, mabie one of the connections are loose.
