Subs forward port to the side?

I'd say it's like anything else when it comes to acoustics most likely you'll have to try and see.... My guess is that it won't work very well... in a trunk the port will most likely be at least partially obstructed or unable to fully breath and the ability of the port to couple with the subs will be reduced.... but.... then again i'm no acoustic engineer so hell it may work just fine..... best bet is to hope someone has tried it before and can tell you the results...

Yea, just sounds like the enclosure will just barely fit in there and the port will be choked off in the rear of the trunk...your best bet would probably be to wall off at the trunk opening and do everything forward or subs forward, port through the rear deck

as long as the port is not being blocked or obstructed. inside the box it needs to be atleast the radius distance from the wall, outside you need atleast the diameter away from an obstruction.

That configuration works very well with the subs offset to the passenger side facing forward and the port firing into driver side rear corner, but 2 fifteens would be seriously pushing it as far as airspace and breathing room for the port. I think you'd be better of with the same layout for 1 fifteen or 2 twelves. I've done this for several customers with great results.

What usually gives u the best results. 1 15. Or 2 12s

2 twelves would be my pick...gives you 2 voice coils to dissipate heat and more cone surface also. Both will work good, but the 2 twelves would be better overall.
