there are probably somewhere between 500 and a million good options.

I would be thinking something that works well sealed. A good pair of 12's optimized for sealed enclosures will give you a mean kick bass and clean bass guitar.

Something as simple as a pair of Type R's would do a good job.

Comp VR's do well sealed and aren't very expensive.

The sub I run -- Lanzar Opti1232d would make a great sealed sub.

If you want to spend big $$ I'm sure there are plenty of good options in that range too.

That IDMAX is recommended a lot for a SQ oriented set up.

but yeah, DD and DC are a bit more SPL oriented.

From the one's JimJ mentioned (heard good things about most of them, btw) I can vouch for the JL, ID and Arc subs' being excellent quality for fast, clean rock bass

im running some old school kicker s15cs in a sealed box and they sound great ive seen a few pairs on here in the classifieds idk if they are still for sale tho..
