Does he do good work? Then yes. Tats are **** pricey. I've put about $1000 into mine, all told.

what even was it they usually look gay b4 colors

How do you know it's the guy's website and not him just using fake information or something to try to get you to go through with it? I had someone offer me tattoo's for amp's and he sent me a link to one of the better tattoo shop's in NC saying he was one of the artists but what threw up the red flag is he wanted me to come to his house to do it and not the actual shop. Turn's out he was just using the shop's name because it's pretty well known and knew if some idiot who wanted work done was offered tattoo's for trade they would jump on it I would suggest having him meet you at the shop itself and checking out his portfolio before you even consider doing anything. And honestly, if he owned his own shop and they could do halfway decent work I doubt he would be offering up tattoo's for sub-woofers. I know some shop's and artists who trade work but it's for stuff like cars, motors, motorcycles, jewelry, etc...you know expensive stuff not a pair of sub-woofers.

First off, if the guy is good enough to actually do sleeves, he wouldnt be trading for subs. A good rule of average is about $750 for a quarter sleeve, $1500 for a half sleeve. Prices are negotiable for some tattooers, but nobody working in a shop will do a half sleeve for a pair of subs. That is, unless they REALLY ****.

Beware of "tattooists" from Craigslist. Most are full of $hit. Don't listen to the "I'm between shops right now", or "I can give you a better deal at my house". If these guys were any good, they'd be in a shop.

I see tattoos every day that come from home tattooers. I cover up an assload of them. People usually say "but he was clean, he even opened the needles in front of me". That would be fine if everyone knew exactly what to look for, but most folks are VERY surprised when I show them how easy it is to throw a dirty needle in a sealed pack. A box of 100 needle packs costs 6 bucks, so how do you REALLY know he doesnt just rinse them?

Beware

Cleanliness aside, if the dude can't make enough money to support a shop I'd be very wary of the quality of his work. I could run a perfectly clean shop with fresh new needles and sterilized equipment but you'd be a madman to let me put ink in you.
