Your RCAs are only labeled 2 different colors so that you don't have to remember which end is what wire and have to follow it or whatnot. Both wires are the same thing though. Using a mono amp it wouldn't make a difference, but normally if you reverse one end of the wire, you'll reverse what side your sound comes out of, meaning sounds that should play on the left side will play on the right and sounds that play on the right side will play on the left.
Its like this with pretty much any kind of equipment that uses RCAs, whether it be your car stereo, home stereo, video game console...etc
