k well this past week i havent been pounding my subs at all..ive been listening to alternative rock...so i decided to put my hiphop in so i can hear my subs at work...they didnt get too loud as it use to...

well first of all i drive highway a lot...does road noise have nething to with it? also when i get off the highway its still not as loud....

i have those automatic sound levelizer on my pioneer hu...which automaticly adjusts volume levels to road noises....

and also its been cold and snowing here lately...does cold have an affect on the subs even if they have been warmed up for more than 10min

what do u guys think? thanks

I had the same problem because I kept listening to the system at excessive levels.

dont listen to your system for a week. at the end of that, establish listening volumes that you feel are neither too soft or too loud. That way your system will never seem quieter if you keep listening to it at roughly the same volume. Personally, the more I listen to my system the more I like it.

hey man ur not alone....im having the same problem.....i was just gonna make a new thread beacuse since it got colder my setup hasnt been gettin loud....i dunno if its my amp or subs that need to be warmed up, but after maybe 15 mins or so it gets back to normal......anyone have any ideas what it might be?

k well i went out to the gym today...hoping i can warm up my subs a bit...driving back home it seemed to be normal...

u think its the cold weather that affected this?

and another thing...how much does road noise (eg. highway) affect the loudness of the sub? is it supposed to sound lower while dirving on the highway?

i dunno hard to say on this. just because you talked about your seatbelts and how they bounced i guess.

my sub i had before went quiter and i thought it was my ears. came out to be a blown coil.

I wondered about the same thing. Now that it's gotten cold my subwoofer is to the point where it sounds like a Midbass speaker or something lol. It was really really loud a month or two ago and now it is just a speaker that is turned up a bit it seems. lol. I would imagine that the cold would make the driver stiffer so until it heated up I could see it not moving as easily.
