subs cutting in and out

It happens randomly. And oddly enough when it first started happening if i just picked one end of the amp up maybe 3in's it would cut back on. The protection light never comes on, and now it happens a bit when touching the rca's. The inputs are bran new from ampmedics, think it could be my tsunami rcas?

My amps not mounted, just chills under my seat.

Id check the ground pretty good, and recommend checking power connection too.May be loose. That amp bounces around under the seat(chillin) went you hit bumps/railroad tracks, ect, and may have caused a loose connection internally..Recommend bolting that am down for stability, and raised at the feet ,to get some air circulation under the amp to prolong the life of it from heat

Generally if you are going to mount the amp under the seat(I dont recommend due to spilt drinks ect. accidents) with no other option,I unbolt the seat and move enough out of the way..not all way out if by myself, and cut 2 strips of 5/8-3/4 wood approx 2in wide ,and approx 1/2 inch for top and bottom length of the amplifier and paint black, then place under the feet and bolt/screw the amp down, and there should be some space for air circulation to keep amp cooler/you can use several; washers too for each amp footing.

Theres actually a **** load of room under my seat lol i dont even need to unbolt it, i figured something to that nature

Im pretty positive its not my wires, they have all been recently redone very well, ill check em anyways. But i was never seeing this problem with my AP amp that was recently in there for several weeks or from my previous kenwood that was on a shittyer rig. Could my inputs just not like my cheap rcas? This amp just came back from amp medics were steve tested it on and off for 3 days with flawless function. Im kinda confused lol

Also this wont happen during a song or when i hit a bump. It mainly happens when i press pause for 30seconds or so, the sub just dosnt hit again when i press play. Or when i first start my truck, i can reach down and kinda lift up and drop it like an inch and it turns on lmfao. Or when i hit one of the RCA's

Ya sounds like something internal.Possibly loose rca connection on the board???You can try another set of rca of you have some to see if that is the issue.Sounds like it may be a simple fix????Do you have a warranty for the repair???You might be able to send it back ???I would ask and see if warranty will cover the issue???Doesnt hurt to ask..you know

Well when i first got it back i couldnt get it to play at all, i think its because i had my outout voltage at 0 on my HU. But i sent it back then and steve said there were no issues. He tested it very thoroughly so i honestly dont think its an loose connection. Hes been repairing amps for like 20yrs he said, guess ill try gettin better RCA's

But if i continue to have the issues he will look at it again, very good guy who really stands behind his work

Just replaced my RCAs with bran new ones, bumped for 2 min then just stopped again. Amp never goes into protection mode, wtf is going on

I was in the parking lot when this happened, so its not a bump or railroad track

Well i went out there again and decided to try it once more before taking anything out. It played fine for 4min at 1/3th volume. I turned it up to a lil over 1/2 and 2min into the song it cut out. But if i reach under and tap the top of the case above rca inputs. It cuts back in, so im starting to believe my amp is cursed

check for loose rca connection at the amp,may have gotten damaged in the return shipping
That would make since, but when i first received it back i couldnt get it to play at all (sub was at 0 on HU, idk if that could do it) so i sent it back. He said he put it on the bench and it played fine, tested it for 3 days with no issues. Sent it back. Although it was taken a week or 2 for these problems to occur

So this would be its 3rd trip, >.>
