I've had this problem with my subs since I installed them and it's quite annoying to say the least... What do you guys think to problem could be?

3 potential issues beside it being fairly bad equipment

1. You have all knobs to the right which is overdriving the amp

2. Ground isn't good

3. The speakers are wired to a lower impedance than the amplifier can handle.

The knobs are definitely not all the way up, I'm not that much of an idiot... I know that the subs are 2 ohms each and I have them bridged to the amp so there is only 2 ohms on the amp. That being said, I don't think it's a heating problem as I originally thought. I 'll check the grounds, but I don't think that's the issue. I have very good and tight connections everywhere. Do you think lowering wire gauge might help?
