Subs Arent Working, Help Or Thoughts Requested

hey guys, a buddy of mine and i were installing a new car stereo system in my car tonight, we got the interior speakers to work, the cd player to work but the subs arent working. we hooked up (2) jl audio w3's and (2) profile 1000 watt amps and the power and ground are fine to them and so is the REM because when i turn the car on the cd player comes on and both amps come on but the subs dont hit the slightest bit, any idea what this could be?

sounds like the RCA's to me. make sure they didn't get pinched or anything.

yea we put new rca cables in and still the same thing, maybe both sets or rca cables are bad?

no protect light on the amps? are the subs good? are the subs muted on the CD player?

subs are good, subs arent muted, im not sure about the protect light

i honestly dont know what to do from here, everything seems wired up correctly and everything is powered up correctly but the subs still arent hitting, any ideas at this point?

Try just using one amp on one speaker.. Doubt you've got 2 bad rca's. (protect light is usually red, power light is usually green. If the amp is in protect it won't do anything.)

Go back and check ALL your connections... Had the same problem on mine, turned out to be one loose connection at one of the subs...

check all your subs wiring both inside of the box and outside.....also play with the settings(gains etc) on the amp

well it turns out it is a loose connection on the sub but it's a jl audio w3 v2, i have one yellow wire running around the sub to 2 connection and only one orange wire is hooked up to the box
