Subs are causing the amp(s) to go into protect mode.

Please help guys, I'm looking at some subs on CL and every amp the guy plugs them into goes into protect mode, hes tried several amps apparently. Any ideas?

No man they wont play because the second he plugs them in it goes into protect---thanks for the reply.

my guess is something, like a blown coil, is causing a short. have access to a DMM to check coils?

I have access to one, the question is- is it worth the time? I would have to drive 25 minutes but hes asking $40 for two 10 inch rockford T1s?
