subs.... 2 10s or 2 8s or 12

Will be working with around 2cu ft. I have someone picking up my sub en box for 200 tomorrow at 6. So thats my budget shipped, you can maybe squeez 220 outa me IF its a good deal. Looking to run ported at 40-42Hz, what cha got

Power will be memphis 1000, 1000x1@1ohm/600x1@2ohms

Well i still havnt actually bought anything. Im pretty set on 2 sundown SA-8s but seeing if i can find something that will produce similar output used for 200 or so.

I rushed into buying my JBL and ended up not being satisfied. Im going to exhast all my options this time lol

I know i post alot, but this is the internet. Isnt that the point?

How about a set of shallow 8's? Probably wont get quite as loud but Im sure get pretty close...

Eh my mistake last time was thinking it would be loud enough. This round i want to be able to say it will deff get loud enough lol

Well they like the same boxes as SA's so you could try them and if not get SA's

(NEW) Street Duty SDC2.0-10-D4 Subwoofer

You can get 2 of those 10's for about $200 shipped brand new I know they say 250wrms a piece but I've seen comments of people saying they run them daily off about 500wrms each. Also I guess they SLAM for the little amount of power you give them, I'd say 2 of those would work perfect on your 1k amplifier and sound decent while doing it imo almost any 10" with decent response and sensitivity will sound good, also sealing them is an option, they also only require 1ft^3 each.

Also how do you plan to get 2 SA-8's for that money? they're like $270 a pair.

I dont know if i would be comfortable running thoughs subs at double there rms daily. But i could just cut back, anyone have an idea if the output could compare?

I personally dont' think those SA-8's would shine even off 1k most SA's i've heard run best off around 1.5-2k and they're not very SQ oriented maybe the 8's are better i don't know. I think those 10's would get louder personally, cleaner? not sure.

If you're willing to spend that much get one of these: http://www.audioque.com/HDC312-Copper-Coil-Subwoofer_p_23.html would be perfect for the space you have and power also copper coils are better for daily music/SQ.

I think they have good SQ and get low as hell and for the price not many companies beat them out easily, and if you can't tell I'm kind of a DC fanboy jk

That's a matter of opinion and what you use them for, IMO SA subwoofers aside from the nightshades sound like dogpiles, if I had to choose personally I would go with DD over all though //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif SSA is incredible but a little over-priced on some of their subwoofers aside from the DCON which is a BEAST for the price.

I would take the DCONS all day infact that was going to be my next suggestion //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif SA-8's are awesome but I wouldnt expect a ton of output from them especially off only 1k they WILL want more we put 1k to a paid of them ported in a van and they were quiet, dropped the amplifier down to .5 and they automatically got easily twice as loud off less than double the power. Some woofers just aren't that efficient until you reach near their thermal/mechanical limits *cough* DD95 *cough**

Not a matter of opinion at all... Half the threads on this forum about AQ are about them failing in some way shape or form... And to say the have good SQ is laughable...
