can anyone make a suggestion on what sub i should get....i am using a legacy 1600 watt amp...i only want one 12 or one 10!! any help is appreciated!!! thanks

Whats the RMS rating on that AMP?? Legacies are overated a bit (power wise) My 1870 pushes 150 X 2 RMS. You may need to match the sub to the amp.

ummm is your amp 1600 watt....2 channel? if so i think i have the same amp....its the red one w/ chrome top...kinda looks like the xplod...

You know, we are here to help people who need it not to make them feel like shit for what they have purchased. I'm still a newbie here though my posts are high. ive learned to just help some one with a question and try to steer them towards better products. i myself am using Legacy subs but thats what i could afford so i made do. im now saving for a DD 3515. is that also crap tommyk90? dont say anything if its not worth while.

My legacy is doing just the trick thankyou very much. I havn't had any problems with it. So what if it doesn't win me any comps, besides, this site is famous for always saying, "%10 equipment, %90 instal"

I agree firmly, if it satisfies the user there is nothing wrong with it.

ummm ok well first off i only paid $20 for that amp and that is in my girls car....and she doesnt need nor does she want anything special...now currently i have a JBL 1200.1 pushing a Jl 12w7 so thank you for stepping off my back.....

Sorry, didnt mean to upset anybody. But seriously, any stereo person could tell you just to wait and buy good stuff. It's a waste of money buying crap, because once you get new stuff you will never get good money for used stuff like legacy and pyle. My point is proven in the fact that you bought that amp for $20. If you want to buy cheap stuff that works good look at pioneer amps and orion subs.

Also, to strengthen my side, most of the people that say "10% equipment, 90% install" have high quality audio components. They know the value of good equipment and buy stuff thats worth buying. What that quote means is that you can have the highest quality audio components in the world, but it doesnt mean crap unless you install it correctly.

sorry i have a sony xplod which performs very well thank you just because it says jl fosgate ect ect doesnt make it a good amp if you take a chance to place amps side by side and break em down you will see they mostly use the same basic components or performance http://www.xplodsony.com go check out the xplod xm-1600gsd good amp

ok i understand all that but all im saying is that i got the amp brand new never even touched for $20 and all my girl wants is a better sound system!! not competition quality.....i mean i did at one point have pyramids hooked to this amp it sounded ok to her and also to me...actually i was kinda of surprised but anyways her car got broken into and they stole her pyramids...they coudlnt get the amp though...so all i am askling is for a decent speaker that will put a lil thump in the trunk for her!! thank you...by the way when i first came to this site everyone helped me and i liked that thats y i keep coming back but people like you bashing other people for the equipment they get only b/c thats what they can afford is just a reason for my to not come back here..... this is supposed to be a helpful forum so when i ask for help w/ a problem i expect an answer that will help solve my problem..THANK YOU
