sub wiring question

ok guys i have 5, SVC 4ohm subs. I need to get the overall impedance down to a 2ohm load to get max power from my amp.

so my question is can i wire the 1st 4 subs in series to get a 4ohm load, and then wire the 5th sub(svc 4ohm) in paralle with the 4 subs that are wired in series to get a 2ohm load?

Will that work? why/why not. in theory it sounds like it would work, 4ohm divided by 4ohms would be two 2ohms....just wondering if it makes a differents that there are 4 subs to make it 4ohms, and just one subs that makes the other 4ohms.

if you wire 4-4ohm subs in series it will be 4+4+4+4=16ohms the best way with that would be to wire 2 subs series4+4=8 then paralell the 2 pairs to make the 4 subs a 4ohm load get rid of the 5th sub because any way you go they wont get the same/equal amount of watts

thats what i was thinking in my head, but not what i typed at all. lol

so i cant wire the 5th 4ohm sub in paralell with the 4 subs that are at a 4ohm load? Would it not become 2ohm? how would all the subs not get the same power?

sorry for all the questions. its not that i dont believe you or nothin am just interested.

yes you can wire it that way but its not good because if your amp puts out 1000 watts@ 2ohms thats shared equal by ohms 4 of the subs will get 500watts and the single sub would get 500 watts alone
