sub wiring help

im using this wiring diagram... when i wired it i wired it + to +, - to - but when i came off of the sub and to the amp i used the + and - from the same side. i know its not the way the diagram shows it but it shouldnt make a difference right?

yeah, it will. youre only giving power to one VC. this will definitely damage and potentially blow your coils. ALWAYS power both coils

seriously?????????....... i thought it wouldnt matter because the + and + were connected on the sub
