sub subwoofer settings rear sub

Runnning twin 12" 1800watt max output subwoofers in my trunk, in addition to front stock speakers and two rear stock speakers in trunk as-well. subwoofer unit has bass boost, gain and frequency settings. head unit gives me an option of rear/rear, sub/sub, and sub/rear. head unit also offers bass boost, loud settings, frequency, treble.... I dont use loud, bass boost settings on head unit at1,subwoofer setting at 1 bass setting at 3, on subwoofer unit settings are at 1/10th the range. I have been using rear/sub for a while now, but have noticed my rear speakers are not keeping up. Was hoping my twin subs could take some weight of them, while still keeping a clean sound. The rear spearkers are shaking more than I want, I'd like my subs to be the one shaking becasue they can handle it wihtout distorting sound quality. My amp is set to low on head unit so I dont blow my stock speakers

what rear/rear, sub/sub, rear/sub setting should i be using?

how can i properly adjust my head unit and subwoofers settings to ensure speakers play clean?

(I remember someone telling me there is a certain sequence of setting them...)
