Sub Sizes for CRX

Hey guys.. I have been searching but cant seem to find what I really wanna know. I was looking at some different subs and this is the first time I will be putting anything in a hatch.. I have heard of a "CRX Box" that is pretty much subs up ports back and I will be going with a setup like that.. but I was wondering about some sub sizes for it.

I am going to be listening to a lot of Rap, but also Metal and anything in between.. so I was wondering if different sizes will make the biggest difference, because I am trying to decide if I want to use a single beefy 10" sub.. a 2-3 decent 10s.. a single powerful 15" or maybe 2 12"s.. and I am going for mostly SQ, but want it loud.

I am not really asking what brand or anything to use.. just kinda the advantages and disadvantages of sizes.. specifically a hatch ported

P.S. As far as subs I am running a Orion 1200D amp, and am considering a XXX, 2 SE 12s.. a new AA Havoc or maybe 2 10" Arsenals.. maybe 3 10" Type Rs... so its still pretty much up in the air across the board..

I am either doing 2 12 or 4 12's in my crx just depends on the money i got to go with

For CRX's...SPL wise...2 12's seems to do quite well for most people. But then again...it's all in the install.

from my exper... 15's are too big.. id do a good pair of 10's in a nice ported box or a single 12

From my experience...15"s were great
Two 15" L7s

CRX Box 4.1cubes each chamber tuned @ 35hz

and an Orion 2500

Best setup I have had so far

two 12's in a higher-cube box tuned around 35-40hz can't go wrong. trust me.

Im thinkin 2 10" Arsenals in a CRX box ( Duh ) powered by a Orion 1200D

Its more SQ or SQL, than SPL.. I dont just listen to rap..

Yeah. Tune it around 30hz
