Sub reccomendations

Ok guys. I seem to have found the box i was looking for for my truck. Here is the link

http://www.supercrewsound.com/commerce/product.jsp?prodId=11&catId=56

I will be going with the 2 10s and the additional 5/8" option. My question here is what subs would you recommend for this box? With the mounting depth at 5 7/8" the options are kinda slim. I noticed the IDQ will fit and the depth on that is 5 3/4". Anyways i am a rock guy i like SQ with some volume.

The depth of the enclosure isn't the only thing that hinders your options. This enclosure is roughly .7 cubes BEFORE displacement, and that's pretty small.

Look into:

JL Audio 10W3v2

Polk Audio MM1040DVC

Kicker CVT104

Or you could look into 8" subs. You'll be opening up a hell of a lot more options if you decide to run 8" inch subs in that tiny little box.

I assume you know you'll be in the market for different amplifiers depending on the voice coil configuration of the subwoofers you choose...

DD 1508, Soundsplinter Rl-i8's when they come out again, soundsplinter orphans, sundown E8, S8 and X8 (when the last two come out), IDQ 8, Kicker 8's, True bass 8's, old school rockford fosgate HX2 and HE 8's, AQ SD208 if you can find one, JL 8's, **** there's a lot of options....

There recommendation of the ID10v.3 would be good choice , you will have to pop the plastic cover off though, also if you could find the old IDQ10v.2's they sounded very nice in .5ft3.

This.

8" subs aren't bad by any means...

There are 8" subs that yield exceptional output.

Check out the True Bass Solutions 8". There are two dealers on the forum. Here's a link where you can contact either of them: http://www.caraudio.com/forum/showthread.php?t=424997&highlight=introducing+true+bass+solutions

The DD 1508 is really nice too, or you can wait for the new Sundown models to hit the market. I think you'll be happy with any of these choices...

EDIT: I just remembered Audio Phil telling me that the TBS subs perform better in ported enclosures. If you contact him, be sure to ask about that...
