sub rattle

i have tried 2 different subs in my box and both get a rattle or slapping type noise with gain a little over 1/3 of the way up at normal play volume. box is custom built 2 cubic ft at 32hz and 1 sub is a rd alpha v2 and the other is a dc lvl4xl. when i swap them out both produce the same type of rattling noise. what could be the cause of this? checked both with a dmm and they are fine there.

recheck ur tunning you may be playing below tunning OR ur subs arent sealing tight to the baffle. 2nd is my bet...

live in peoria area. the box has a flush mount and the sub is snug in there. i dont know if maybe its too tight of a fit or not that it may be causing the problem. i felt around for air leaks and didnt notice any. it only does it on certain bass notes. i will mess with it some more tomorrow and will try to get a hold of another box from a friend and see if they do the same thing in another box.
