Sub Question

What are some decent subs that I could get for $300 or less on ebay or else where that could be run off a jbl600.1 and do well in a 2.5-2.8 ft^3 ported enclosure? I would want to run (2) 12"s. About 50/50 sq/spl. Any ideas? Would re se's work well?

The SE's would work...geared a little more towards SPL, though.

ye athe L7's will work if u tune the box properly, so im thinkin a pair of se's, or ED k's if u wanna wait a lil while, or maybe type r's

1 RE SE would be very good for a 2.5 cu ft ported box, with 600 watts, but you cant fit 2 in a 2.8 cu ft ported box an expect them to sound good. Theres not many 2 sub setups in a 3 cu ft box that will sound good. I'de say go one sub ported, or 2 sealed... All the subs listed above seem to be the best IMO also..

Alright, here it is, Image Dynamics IDMAX. These subs are killer! They have a brutal magnet. They are thirty-five pounds in weight. They go down to 22 Hz. They have serious SQL. They have serious SPL. Also, they have serious power handling. They have serious excursion. They handle 1,000 Watts RMS. And, it's only a 12!!!!

The IDMAX's are $450 online, at ID's only online authorized dealer.

35 pounds doesnt make a difference.

Yup, they are a very nice SQL sub. Sound precise and get loud.
