Sub Probelms

my 12 is making a popping sound when the volume is low or when the music is paused. when i turn it up, it keeps making the popping sound and it seems like it cuts out. i thought it was some exposed wires touching so i checked all the wiring and its all good. whats causing this?

what kind of sub, amp, RCA cables and box do you have it connected to... also how are your gains? i only ask about the RC A's because i have had similar problem, switched out my crappy RC A's with some decent ones, and it was gone.

the sub is a power acoustik mofo and its wired to a 1800 watt rockford amp. the RCAs are some cheap ones that came with an amp wiring kit. the gains are also ok and the box is a Q-logic

welcome to the site, both of you. get some better rca's and make a better grounding spot, and your problem should be solved
