Many of these slotted ports are very large like: 2 inches by 12 inches. This has an area or 24 inches. This is roughly the same area as a 5.5 inch round pvc port.
As the port diameter gets larger the longer the port needs to be to maintain the same tuning of the enclosure.
My question is do larger ports produce a louder output than smaller ports, I would assume yes. So would a 5 inch round port really offer that much more output than a 3 inch port etc? Where does the law of diminishing returns come into play?
