Sub placement in crew cab

Hey

I'm building a box behind the rear seats of a crew cab should they fire toward front seats or down?

And is there a pre determined angle for the listening distance

I had my 10"s facing forward and the port to the pass side for the best results.

I was planning on front firing but I'll only have about 2" between the subs and rear seat.

Option 2 is down firing and angling the subs about 15 degrees so the waves will bounce off the floor.

2" is more than enough. Excursion isn't going to reach that. Down firing works well too, but I personally got the best out of my truck forward. What truck are you putting it into? This is one of those things where trial & error is going to be the best. I built (at that time) 3 different boxes to come up with that result.
