hello folks! i have a 10" CDT MS-100 in a box with a volume of about 0.9 cubic feet (if that's of any relevence)....

so basically, i have no idea where to put it. i don't know much about sound waves. i do remember seeing a FAQ about placement-- it had diagrams about sound canceling and such.

could anyone help me out in understanding all of this so i can place my sub in the optimal position?

i also have cdt cl-61's front stage and cl-6x's rear. originally stalled with stock speaker grill over them but i'm going to change that. any suggestions to make it look nice?

I drive an Explorer and I just pushed my 12' to one side of the trunk all the way aganst the seat facing the hatch. It sounds better than when I had it facing up towards the roof.

firing to the rear is usually the best for any vehicle. However, if you get excessive rattling, you may want to try firing up towards the celing.

**** man, 12 foot sub? how much did you pay for that? lmao

thanks for the input, does anyone know what that website is with the diagrams and all?

if i just pretend the sound waves bounce like light, i suppose i ought to put the sub facing the hatch at a slight angle so they bounce back up front. if it works like that.
