i wouldn't call it abusing, they handled it for three months. they took it like a champ

they were reaching thermal limit's! ive known a lot of kicker product's to do this! especialy the kicker comp serie's. seem's they dont have that great of cooling, but they take a beating! imagine if they had better cooling how much of a beating they could take

ya. some products out there will run at thier thermal limits all day for along time. its fun coming across stuff that does that. every mclass memphis amp and older mtx and RF class d amps were like that.

still means you're probly clipping the shit out of your amp and your subs are taking way more abuse than they need to be taking. gotta get a hear for when/where full tilt is reached as you turn the gain up. as you turn the gain up on a steady bass line youll notice that as your keep turning it up, the bass doesnt get louder like it plateau'd. you need to be able to hear where that plateau is and dont turn it up much at all past that point. every song will be differant but with practice you'll be able to gauge where where that point is with every bass note.

if you dont have your gain somehow controled through a remote knob i recommend getting one. the universal ones that go inline wiht the rcas are sweet.
