Sub + Loudspeaker set up question

I have a 2004 mercury mountaineer SUV and i have 2 12'' Alpine Type x in my trunk and im thinking about installing 2 10'' selenium loudspeakers in a separate box powered off a separate amp right next to them.my questions are what type of enclosure/amp should i get for the seleniums, is it even a smart idea to put them in a box, and will the sound have any negative effects considering mid/high speakers are right next to subs? Thanks.

You might get cancellation issues by doing this. You should try to get them further forward.

What if I got 12'' loudspeakers and put them in shallow mounts under the seat instead? Not really trying to mess with door panels

It might be ok if you have enought airspace for the speakers. You'd have to try. But at least they'll be away from the subs. Which is what you want

what are you trying to acheve by doing this? what other gear do you have in the car? are the front speakers ampped? how much pwr are they getting?
