Sub jumping

since I've owned my lanzar vhc1200 i noticed my sub(s) will jump on non existant bass notes. It doesnt do it when the cd is paused, its only when a track is playing inbetween bass notes or on a silent part it jumps violently almost bottoming out. Its done this on 2 10"s and now 1 12" treo. The deck is a pioneer 490 IB with 4v pre outs and my gain on my amp is at 1/8th. Deck settings: sub 63hz +6, eq low is on -2.
