Sub in your room?

I know its possible to have a car subwoofer in a room, i was just wondering how it is done. i would like to get my subwoofer from the car i couldnt take to college and try to hook it up in my dorm to annoy the hell outta every one. anyway hit me up and thanks for those who contribute. -Jason

as long as you have a way to power it, Yes.

Usually its not very frugal to run a DC power supply to use your car amp. Look into a shelf/component AC powered amp for it. Unless you wanna keep recharging a car battery of course. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Then install as usual.

Keep in mind, the frequency response in a bedroom is FAR different then in car. May sound better or worse with the car enclosure. But definatly different.

Look into building a home theatre style enclosure.

I got some piece of shit Pyramid Super Pro in a sealed box running off of my Sony mini-system. Sounds awesome. Loud enough to piss my family off. Cost me 10 bucks for the Pyramid, I like it.

go with either a rackmount or plate amp, and run the sub off that...can be done, and sounds very good when done well.

I'm thinking of buying an Adire Rava myself, which is basically a Shiva in a 1.5 CF sealed box with a 250w plate amp on the back.

grounded to the battery - lol, the remote is that switch you see, it went from the +12v to the switch to the remote, and i had a charger on it at all times.

you couldn't hear the charger? i did that once and i could hear the charger whine through the sub.
