i recently hooked up a type R 15, in my buddies dodge cummins and when the volume is down the seems to be a lot of engine noise coming out of the woofer, but it gets louder when the volume goes up, i dont know if it is engine or not but any input on what it might be thanks....

I'd check your ground. Sometimes you can get engine noise if you have a poor ground. Makes sure its a good connection and also make sure its down to the bare metal, if its not scrap the paint untill you see bare metal. That should help you out...

yea. come to think of it, when we did the install it was at night, and i had a to scrap the paint off his chassi forever, so ill deff check that out....thanks alot bro
