Sub for my dad...

He want's an 8" sub and box, already has an amp (he's using one of my AA 8"s right now //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crying.gif.ec0ebefe590df0251476573bc49e46d8.gif ). I'm not really sure what his amp is rated for, and I can't be bothered to look, but that AA 8" seems to be the best for such a low price. I do, however, need a good cheap box for him (he has a backseat so it can be a pre-built). I was looking at this one, but it seems it has around .7cu ft of airspace. Will that matter very much (and please note, he doesn't have the bass nearly as high as that thing can output, not even close). I don't want to put to much strain on it though :/

Nah, he doesn't use the backseat of his truck anyway, and it's only $30, he can spare that (he owns a store...).

However, when I get my next vehicle (sometime before may), it's likely going to be a Pontiac Vibe, which has plenty of space in the back for two 12"s (or I might just go with 1 15", hmmm).

if the box is too small then add some polyfill and it will help it some.

Well, he likes music, and he likes his music to sound pretty good. And the 4" mids (Boston Acoustics, great sound) just can't do any bass at all, obviously. He's not gonna be bumpin or anything, though that would be hella funny XD

hell yea my one time my dad used my truck one time for something and when i used it after he did i got in there turned it on and he had the music turned up with them 12's bumpin away i was like whaaaa..... old people like to bump too haha

I have a friend who is 51 and loves loud music. You should have seen his face when he heard my single 12. He was like an 8 year old kid at Christmas time. Now he is on a car audio trip and wants me to help him hook up his truck.

Just because you get older does not mean you get less "cool" nor does it mean you lose all interest of things that are to be considered youthful interests.
