Sub facing up? For comp?

Well the problem is that my trunk is only 15.5" tall, so i cant fit 15" subs facing back. Will i do ok in spl comp with them facing up?

Im looking at a great deal on a Mach 5 spl sub. Looking to get it even though it is a 15, will it get as loud facing up as facing back?

Musically it will get loud but metered probally not...

ok, then my next question is, can you get a basket for the mach fives? so i could change it over to a 12"

Just make the box on an angle so that the sub will fit facing forward or backward whichever way you desire.
