You can move a lot of air with a really big fan, and I assure you it will cost less money. A fog horn inserted directly into the ear canal is also pretty sick for spl. Nothing beats a good old fashioned bomb though. I believe an atomic bomb blast going off in the trunk could break every spl record known to man, though I'm not sure how the rule book addresses that.

If you want one note max spl bass, you should consider a proper bandpass box, and replace your eletrical/amp. Bandpass enclosures, IF PROPERLY DESIGNED, will out do any other setup, in most cases, for high spl, when it comes to using the least number of woofers and power.

OK, I get your point, but you took it a little too far. I do play music, so spl subs don't even count here. I just feel that after you get so loud, how much sq can you really have? I want the loudest setup between these two, but I will not be dealing with fart box systems.

3 MJs new would be 465 shipped, the AQ is 320, so its about a 145 difference. I could never get another AQ in my trunk for future upgrade, but I could always buy a bigger amp later and give the MJs more power, and being sealed it would sound a hell of a lot better than the AQ and be louder.

I saw a youtube vid that has 2 MJs on 1000watts and they appear to be moving a good bit. I would be giving them at least that plus some, so I should move more than that

I don't think its quite that low, but still its 3 against 1, if that matters

from what i see on your post you're not going for loud on a meter you are looking for loud to the ear. you want to shake the ground. go with more than 1 sub
