What method do you guys use to cut circles for your guy's subs. I know the basics of woodworking and such, but how would I go about cutting out the circles for the subs.

jasper jig is what I use. Get the 2-pack on partsexpress.

a router and a circle jig. flat out the best method if you know how to use them. Remember measure twice and cut once is always key...

i went to a framing store and got some scrap 1/8 plexi works wonders for a jig =)

Jasper Jig 200, makes PERFECT circles, its all you need....and a plunge router.

There are a lot of other methods, like a jig saw, Rotozip for example, but a router w/ jig will give you perfect results.

BTW, the Rotozip tried to kill me many times.

Its a cross between a Dremel and a true router, dont buy it. Its not powerful enough to cut mdf, and it tried to kill me.

I us a roto zip.. But It won't help much with anything over 12" ... well the jig that I have for it anyway..

I use a compass and a jigsaw.

But that's because I'm real good at keeping my hand steady and cutting perfect(ish) circles, if you can get a jig with a clutch it helps a lot compared to a one speed jig.
