Sub Box Designs

Ok.. So I have 2 Rockford Fosgate Punch Series 3 Subs.

Info:

* Sensitivity: 85 dB

* RMS Power Range : 100-400 Watts

* Peak Power Handling: 800 Watts

* Impedance: Dual 4 Ohm

* Low Frequency response: 20 Hz

* High Frequency Response: 200 Hz

* Diameter: 10 Inch

So I wanna see what these babies can do. I had them in about a .50 or .65 Cu Ft. Sealed Box Before. They didn't seem to do to well especially with the lows. So what I need is a program or something to help me design a ported box for 1 cu. ft. and instead of tuning it to 35Hz I wanna try to get lower and tune it to 28Hz.

Anyone know of any programs that can help me with this that are free or inexpensive, say no more than $20-30.

Anyone Know of any? I found one called WinISD pro, but it wont give me box dimensions and port placement.

Well... I mean I'm looking for a program that will help me figure out what design of box is going to give me good frequency response and still be about flat or +2dB above flat for the 28Hz area. I'm trying to get the most out of these subwoofers without paying $200+ by paying someone else who's specialty it making boxes. Plus I wanna be able to say i made my box.

Like I've been using the WinISD Pro and one thing i don't understand is the Alignment thing when it tells me to choose the alignment settings.. The one I like best is the C4/SC4 (Sub-)Chevyshev and i don't know what the difference besides the fact that my low-end range is the best when I choose this one.. lol

well i know how to size a box to Cubic Feet but i was looking for a formula on how to calculate sizes and placement of a port.

Ok.. I'm starting to get the hang of is.. If i get a 2.5" in diameter port then i need a 12" long port and the cross area is 4.91 in^2. what is the cross area?

IF you have a Diameter

the equation is

Diameter x .5 = y

then 3.14 x y

so 2.5 x .5 =1.75

1.75 x 3.14 =5.49500
