Sub and Amp

I know I always have nothing but questions, but I'm getting there...

"The crossover on this amp is 12dB/octave high pass, 24dB/octave low pass, variable from 40Hz to 200Hz."

Disect that for me please, and does that frequency range have to match the sub?

Also, does the ohm setting on the amp like 2 x 300 @ 4 ohms, does that need to run through two 4 ohms subs? And if you have 2 Dual Voice Coil Subs, will you need a 4 channel amp?

No. U can use DVC subs on a 2 channel amp. The 300x2 @ 4 ohms means that what its rated it. You can run it at different ohms. Some down to 2 ohms. Coil count doen't matter but it will help/hurt ur amps performance.
