Sub-Amp Wiring Dilemma (please help!)

I have one 2ohm-L5 Kicker SoloBaric 15"(750rms1500peak) wired to a KoleAudio HK-1920http://www.koleaudio.com/products_amplifiers_hk.html. I have it wired in series mono to produce a 4ohm load because the amp is only 2ohm stable. The amp makes 370x2@4ohms, 440x2@2ohms, 880 mono rms, and 1920 bridged max. A guy told me since i cant wire it to 2ohm that its only getting about half the total rms. Im planning on getting another amp is there any thing I can do until then or does he even know what he is talkin about?

If the amp makes 370wpc X 2 @ 4 Ohm stereo (740w total)

..................and 440wpc X 2 @ 2 Ohm stereo (880w total)

..................and 880wpc X 1 @ 4 ohm mono (880w total)

And you have a Dual 2 Ohm driver (makes a 1 Ohm parallel or 4 Ohm series final load)

Wire it to 4 ohms (like you said you have?) and bridge the amp to 1 channel mono and you'll get all that that amp will do if your stated figures are accurate.

880 watts into a L5 15" ought to hump! I can't see that you need to do anything if you're happy with how it sounds now.
