Stupid Question

you're an idiot. you have to crimp the connectors onto the wire then attach it to the bolts. or you could buy a better fuse holder that has good inputs.
Your an idiot and a noob installer at crimping 1/0 ring terminals, Solder the ring terminals look better and last longer period. Learn something SC seems like you need it.

You both are idiots...

Crimp it (Whether it be with huge crimpers, or just a hammer and a flatshead / chisel) then, get some solder and a torch, and solder it.

Soldering doesn't make it last longer... it makes the connection stronger.

Idiot.

How can metal pinned against metal not last as long as a relatively low melting point metal melted in between two metals (which are most of the time different material)?

you should both be banned for giving bad advice. i've been installing longer than either of you have been out of diapers. and not once has a crimped terminal of mine ever came loose under normal operation.

Well, you didn't answer my question.

By crimping and soldering, you get both worlds. It's what we call a compromise... even though it's just the right thing to do.

I'm not a "moron noob installer." I have logic and knowledge under my belt... unlike you.

Did your friend tell you it's a better and longer lasting connection?

Not knowing that solder usually has a melting point between 90-150*F, and how you live in Texas, it could easily get that hot inside of a trunk, under a hood, or inside of a door during summer?

So, explain again..

How is that a longer lasting connection than BENT METAL?

I'd like to know.

Explain how crimping and soldering is bad advice?

You just have a pole in your ***.

Another Redneck shop working out of your garage im assuming, typical....

telling someone they have to solder a joint is bad advice because it isn't even needed. anytime you advise someone to do something that is not needed it's considered bad advice. now take the pole out of your ***; unless of course you like it there. what ever floats your boat
