stupid question

I know that the Brahma has to be wired at 1 or 4 ohms, but my question is what differences will I notice between 1 or 4. I know with 4 I will be getting less watts from the amp. but will I notice Sound difference. I know this has probably been answered many times.

Oh and If I get the better audio 1600 amp and wire it too 1 ohm, I will be giving the brahma Its maximum RMS power. Should I not go that high. It would most likely go into a 1.25^3 ft box ported.

To answer your first question, no there won't be any audable difference between wiring the sub to 1 or 4 ohm. Secondly I wouldn't want to send the sub the full 1600 W if it's in a ported application, so just be careful with the gain on your amp, don't be a volume master;)

There will be an "audible" differance! Not sound quality wise but you will be giving it more power therefore it will be louder! I wouldn't hesitate putting that amp on that sub!!! Just watch your gains and volume knob you should be fine.

i think he was refering to ginvin it the same power at either ohmage....like 300rms at 4 ohms or 300 at 1 ohm......u know? shouldn't be a difference

It all depends on how you are getting the power. If you are going to power the sub with, let's say 300 watts at a 4 ohm load on an amp that can and should only run at 4 ohm...it will be fine. If you give it 300 watts at a 1 ohm load, and are pushing the amp past it's clipping range, then with the same power, the 1 ohm load will sound like crap. More power is usually desired, and then you do not have to run your amp as hard.
