Stupid Question

Spiders get stiff right before making love, a regular spider isn't as jolly

It's all relative. A stiff spider is only stiff compared to something not as stiff. Compare that "stiff" spider to a spider with more "stiffness", and the stiff spider is now the looser spider //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

There's no "regular" spider. Different spiders have different compliance (inverse of "stiffness") for different applications. Driver X will have a spider with X compliance, Driver Y will have a spider with Y compliance.

so whats the difference when I see 2 subs sold by 2 people one says 4 stiff spiders and the other says 3 stiff spiders but its the same sub from what else i can see? How does or could that effect the sub i guess is what im asking. Ive seen that on several XXX and brahma sales lately.

Take the RE MT for example. IIRC on the MT you can order it to have either "loose" or "stiff" spiders (relative terms; in relation to each other), and you can vary how many it has. The different spiders and different number of spiders will affect the compliance of the driver, which will change Cms, which will in turn affect Fs, Qts (Qms & Qes) and Vas.
