Stupid Q about RMS.

I have 5 channel Sony amp that is 40 RMS X 4 + 150 x1 into 4 ohms.

Bridged it's 120 RMS x 2 + 150 x 1.

Here's my question, I want to bridge the 4 channels and run my Infinity Kappa 60.5CS Components off of it.

the Kappa's are 90 RMS - 270 Peak.

Are they going to blow right off the bat, or will I be ok as long as I don't have the gains up the whole way?

They'll sing with that kind of power.

I have the same component set, and I hit them with 100+ watts on a daily basis.

No problems at all - just make sure to high-pass them at 80Hz, 100 Hz to be really safe - to keep the bass from hitting them. They'll crank!

ok guys thanks for the tips. I can't wait to install this stuff.

Stupid car is in the shop right now, so I can't put all my gear in.

Now i know that I am definitely going to amp the CS off the amp in bridged mode, and just run my Kappa 63.5s in the back off of the HU.
