stupid mono amps with dual inputs

ok, when setting my gains do i want to get the rms for my sub out of each channel (800w), or 400w to each voice coil? its one of those amps that is a mono but has 2 pos and 2 neg speaker inputs.

1. It's a mono amp, there's only one channel.

2. You mean speaker outputs? They're paralelled internally, you could hook it up to either set and not make a difference.

1. It's a mono amp, there's only one channel.

If it's an 800W amp, you shoot for 800.

it's a single channel so each pair of terminals would read your target voltage

I hope this 800w isn't a peak power rating...
