Stuck to mainstream.. What's my best bet?

Where I live we don't have fi, dc, aq, ia, audiopulse, id, ssa... whatever lol nothing FTL

I've got hifonics 1208d and want a single 12' sub setup. My goal is most spl with decent sq. Well there are rare dds and re but the problem is dds are expensive and there are no d2 versions of 2512(I think my amp cant push a 3512). Re Sx; hard to find and way overpriced.

I mean it looks like the only route is l7 & type-r for a spl oriented single sub setup. There are cadence pioneer jbl jl and some other stuff, maybe you can suggest some other subs?

I'm leaning towards L7 but I have serious doubts about sq //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif my last setup was re sr 10' and sq was nice especially lows.

kicker is for spl, but they are very expensive compared to subs that would be a lot louder and cleaner..alpine is a great subwoofer, but needs a decent size box as well too be loud, but better all around than the kicker...just my opinion

whats your budget and size limit?

you could get a couple of jbl gto 15" in a sealed box in around the same size as a decent sized ported 12 box - would be cheaper and would be maxed out by that amp well before you stress it

they do get loud and sound good -- also what type of music do you listen too?

i've built plenty of boxes for L7's, and all of them seemed to be very loud....that didnt sound to shabby either (i know a lot of ppl are gonna disagree with me on this one), but in the right box they do sound alright.....but i am by no means a kicker fan, i pretty much despise there equipment.....but out of most of the mainstream subs, (Kicker, Rockford, JL, Alpine, JBL, and MTX), the L7 is probably the better SPL sub, next to the Type R

Still totally lost, even my options are so limited..

looks like re sx is overall better choice but it will be hard to find one. and I have no idea type-r vs. l7 fight
