I'm installing a system in my suburban. right now i have 2 Boston g2 15's in a sealed prefab box. 2 cubes per sub. I plan on building a ported box for the subs. I installed some super cheap renegade components to give me some tunes while i do the building. I threw the components, subs and amp in this weekend for something to listen to and i notice a huge midbass gap between the subs and the components. i will be treating the doors and i know that will make a big difference. and i know I'm running crap component speakers now also. right now all my panels are off. interior is gutted etc so it's going to be hard to get much sq in its current state. I just want make sure i plan the build appropriately. I will be making custom panels for the doors. other then treating the doors and getting some quality component speakers, what else can i do to have a strong midbass. i thought about a center console with a small sub or 2, but have heard i could have cancellation issues. i could do something extra in the doors. I'm open to all ideas. just want a great sql system in the end.
