um I got my strokers and it came with a test sheet and in the companys optimum enclosure between 30-40 hz seal out did ported in db ratings by 3-5 decimals. Sealed (83-87), ported (80-84) tuned to 36 hz. So should I go sealed

The reason is because a port acts like a high pass filter causing frequencies below the tuning frequency to roll off at approximately twice the rate of sealed box. If you lowered your tuning frequency to around 25-30hz you would be able to maintain a flatter response to lower octaves before the sharp cutoff. A sealed box rolls off gradually so the sealed box will play lower louder for signals below the port frequency.

Sealed or ported really depends on what you're looking for out of your sub. If want a flatter response that plays lower at the cost of output, then sealed would be the way to go.

so basically what ur saying that if I listen to music around 28-40hz from the results of that sheet I should go sealed, cause the lowest frequency recommended is 35 on port tuning for the subs,
