If you lowered your tuning frequency to around 25-30hz you would be able to maintain a flatter response to lower octaves before the sharp cutoff. A sealed box rolls off gradually so the sealed box will play lower louder for signals below the port frequency.Sealed or ported really depends on what you're looking for out of your sub. If want a flatter response that plays lower at the cost of output, then sealed would be the way to go.</blockquote>
