Stripped/rusted screw

I'm trying to install new springs on ym whip but I'm running into trouble. I've got the front drivers side spring on, and now I'm trying to get the passenger side on. I'm trying to remove the end link from the strut but I've stripped the screw. It's this one:

As you can see to get it off you need to hold the screw with an allen wrench while turn the nut. The screw is stripped and now matter what I do I can't get the thing off. It's completely rusted to boot.

Any ideas?

i got a screw problem myself, and even tho im sure i could drill it out, im just curious if anyone has ever used those screw extractors and how well they really work?

They easiest way is to put some lubricant on it (P.B.Blaster, WD-40, Liquid Wrench), let it sit for about 20 mins. Whack the combo wrench with a hammer until it breaks loose.

i don't think they can get to the other side of it..

as for the extractors get the right size and you will be good

If none of this works, just take an old screwdriver and super glue the tip in the stripped opening, it beats paying $20 for a kit, since you can just use a $2 screwdriver and get it out.

lol, superglue....its a rusted nut.

If anything you could have a 1/2 nut welded to the old one to make a socket work on it.
