stripped out battery

ok i have a question. say u have a d1000 and where the threads are in the battery are stripped out. can u use a tap on that and just rethread it like any other thing?

probly so. i would do it but be caeful since its lead and its not like metal. (softer) if its just a nut then you should be good

its where u screw the bolt down into on the top. i figured u could i just didnt know if anyone had experience doing it before or not.

ive actuallymodefied a battery to have those kind of terminals. the only proble i have ran into is the lead post are realy soft and they tend to **** up the treads. unless its a steel nut inside their then i guess you dont have to worry.

yeah what kinda terminal is it if it has the but inside it then it wont be hard if not its going to be a pain in the ***

so its like a female? I would reun a tap into it and see it would clear itself up
