Stripped hex head bolt :-(

Try to get some break cleaner down the bolt if possible and leave it over night. I'd try shooting some down there every few hours over the coarse of the day. It might break some of the corrosion down.

hey hears an idea take the car to some one who knows what they are doing cause you apparently don't and sell your tools because ppl as dumb as you shouldn't have tools cause youll probly wind up ****ing some thing else up in the near future

ive got a secret concoction of mine cooking on it already. Very acidic and usually works well for eating corrosion and rust right off. Just had a brain fart and what i might do is grind a slot in it with my grinder, and modify one of my wood bits to use as a big *** flathead bit. (you know the ones that look like a big flathead with a little point in the middle) That should work, or either itll tear the head of the bolt off. Either one works. Torx bolts ftl

Id use my dremel but i need a new chuck thing for it, or whatever the piece is called that you put the bit in. Cant find one anywhere //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif

Lolz. Ive been working on shit since i was 9 years old man. I know a little about what im doing, everyone strips a bolt out now and then. Why dont you leave the forum and take your car audio back to walmart where you got it? Did you know your scosche wires are made out of aluminum instead of copper?

ok first of all who said any thing about ruining scosche wire. and if you have been working on stuff since you wer 9 and can tell the dif between hex head and torx the you got problems hell i can guess what size some thing is and what it is just by looking at it and i know aluminum aint as good as copper but the way i look at it wire is wire it moves power from one point to another and aluminum wont rust or crode like copper will. and for you info im running kun

they do make screw extractors ya know. they come in tons of different sizes and if it is a bolt you can drill a hole in the top of the bolt and then use a screw extractor to back it out or you could get something like one of those strap tools they use to remove oil filters or a pair of chain tongs they will loosen a rounded bolt.

Actually aluminum will corrode just like copper.
