hmm, if i were to start off in street A, i would prolly run a rex, 2 10L7's, and an opti4000d...thats just me though

a) what is a rex? Isn'y 4k watts a little too much for the two 10s?

b) 2 L7 seems like the consensus.

could I risk going with the 2-ohm model due to box rise.

Since meca is (a) quite local and (b) has an amatuer class, I will look more into a meca setup. I can't get another merlin, because that would put me in another class. I can actually go with 12s because I am in AS3 either way. Currently, I have some Pioneer 3004SPLs. I figure some sound deadening and an SPL oriented box may yield better results. It is just a lot easier to build the box for the L710s.

wait on the classes, they are changing (most likely).

You can definitely run a lower class than as3! I'd venture to say as1, depending on how effeciant your amp is.

i agree if you wanna win you gotta be right around the wr (or at least what is gonna be at the show). some really big shows dont have big hitters there but a 150 isnt going to get you in anything by seasons end.. its a good score but wouldnt be worth traveling all over for
