strapping saz1500d's

hey guys im working on a new stereo for next year and i was wondering if i strap two sundown 1500d's together at .5 ohms each so its a total of 1 ohm total what can i expect to see out of them? im looking for 4000 watts at least and im just curious.

also will a 200 or 220 amp alt and either some kinetik's or tsunami batteries be enough?

how many batteries i was really only looking to use abuot 2 monsters or 2 2150's

one other question someone told me taht FI's BTL's are acutally dual .7 ohms and dual 1.4 ohms is that true? and then my next question is i should probably do two of the dual 1.4 ohms instead of the dual .7 ohms so cuz if im correct the amps will see .35 ohms then if i use the .7 ohms right??? Can the sundowns take taht low?

The actual impedance the amps will see depends on your enclosure...hard to say what it'll actually be unless you test it.

so the safe bet in other words is the dual 1.4 then hahaha. but when the amps are strapped what can i expect to see then in series and also in parrell

u need dual .7's,then series it up to 1.4,then strap your amps to it and each amp will see .7

hmmm,

dual 1 ohms is the actual impedance of each voice coil, right?

and when people talk about 0.7 ohms, that's just the DC resistance, right?

or am i totally lost here?

I dont know, but I have dual 2ohm Q, wired in series it read 2.8...

well something is definitly wrong if you got dual 2's and you series it and get 2.8,you should be at 4ohms.
