Strapping ct sounds amps

What's up guys. I have a ct1400.1 right now. Want to get a different sub setup possibly right now, have a sundown v4 18. Sounds great tuned 30hz 5 cubes as per sundown. I want more power for it, I know the CT is giving it all she has. But the sub can take more lol. Now could I buy another ct1400 and strap them together ? It's a D2 sub. Its been years from the last time I did this. Strap them at 2 ohms right ??? Or would a bigger amp just be better option for me to do. I have a XS battery now and voltage sits at 15.3-15.4

I'd just get a bigger amp. If you strapped another 1400.1 and wired your sub to one ohm, each amp would see a .5 ohm nominal load. CT sounds amps could probably handle this, but if you added another sub you would be underpowering them.

Also, I wouldn't run 12v batteries higher than 15v. At cold start in below freezing weather, the most my electrical system sees is 15.2v.

After everything warms up, it's 15v steady.

I would like to just keep the 1 sub that I have now. But yes it's D2. So was thinking maybe looking into a SQ4.0, I love the bass knob on the ct amps. But have been looking for other amps possibly. Just unsure what to buy
